Charan Donkor, MD is the Medical Director of KairWell Weight and Wellness and is a specialist in advanced robot-assisted and minimally invasive bariatric and general surgery. Dr. Donkor is passionate about helping his patients achieve their personal weight and health goals. In addition to surgical strategies for weight loss, he places emphasis on intense behavioral therapy that serves as the foundation for successful long-term weight loss. Dr. Donkor is well-trained, having completed his surgical training at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He also trained at Columbia University at Harlem Hospital, New York. He went on to complete his minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at the Baptist Health Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatric Surgery program in Miami, Florida. He has authored numerous journal articles and serves as an international lecturer for robotic surgical techniques.
